Next week the Structural Engineer and myself will make a job site visit to inspect the framing and all of the connections before the Contractor can schedule a final framing inspection. This is a requirement of the City of Yorba Linda. The following photographs were taken on Friday January 1st. 2010. Happy New Years to all. Let’s all make lots of Yen in Twenty Ten!
This is the view of wrap around veranda at the rear of the dwelling. The contractor has finished installing the roof sheathing as well as the roof dormers.
I am standing on the rear sloped area of the property looking down toward the Borel’s new master bed and bathroom on the left side of the photograph. The great room and wrap around veranda are on the right side.
We are looking at the right side of the dwelling looking toward the kitchen, butlers pantry and dining room. You can see that the house is clearly taking shape. The contractor covered the roof structure with visqueen to protect the dwelling from recent rain storms.
This is a view directly into the new Great Room looking through the Veranda. The Veranda will have an outdoor fireplace on those chilly winter nights or to share a glass of wine by during those beautiful summer evenings we experience in Southern California.
We are viewing the front door and guest bedroom to the left of the entry. The contractor hung Christmas lights on the house and the neighbors as well as the Borel’s loved it! Nice touch Phil!
Well I finally got around to hanging a job sign on my project. This is a special sign as it has a drawing of the Borel’s front elevation on it. Dean at the Sign Depot in Costa Mesa, California did a great job!
